The main control room at Lanihuli Observatory includes a Visitor's Gallery where visitors can learn more about astronomoy and meteorology. The Gallery houses a small library of books, magazines and star charts -- with some available in Braille. It also has a suit of computers that serve as interactive kiosks on various topics in astronomy and weather. There are also display models and planetary globes.

Visitors can also interactive with a digital video globe called Magic Planet. Manufactured by Global Imagination, this 2-foot diameter digital video sphere, acts as a projector for displaying animated planetary surfaces, weather patterns, and a variety of other images.
